Hi, I’m Adil.

I study computer science at CCNY and graduate in May 2027.

I mostly build web and desktop apps in TypeScript, with some C++ and Python. Right now I’m working on Exedra, a collaborative 3D editor, with a team of four, and I’m a data science fellow at CUNY Tech Prep. A lot of my work ends up in the parts that have to be reliable, like keeping a shared scene in sync or making sure a video never posts twice.

Selected work

Exedra

Team of four, Live

A shared 3D whiteboard in the browser for explaining how something works, blocking out a level, or planning a set. Open a link and place, light, and annotate objects together.

Every change goes through an authoritative C++ server and streams to everyone in the room. I built the engine’s undo and redo, the interpolation that keeps other people’s edits and cameras smooth, the server-authoritative material library, the annotation, viewpoint, and measurement tools, custom model uploads, and named room saves.

Cadence

Guided demo

A local-first scheduler for short-form video that plans posts across your own accounts.

Uploads can’t be safely retried, because a failed one may have gone through anyway. So an uncertain result waits for a person instead of retrying, and a single SQLite transaction keeps each account to one upload in flight.

Lingua

Best Software Engineering Practices, CTP Hacks 2026

A real-time voice interpreter for 79 languages. It detects the language you’re speaking, says the translation out loud, and subtitles both sides.

Two live streams run side by side, so something has to decide which one owns each utterance. I built that coordinator, which decides from the transcript rather than a timer, along with gapless playback on the Web Audio clock and rate limits on token creation.

ClipPress

Open source, Windows beta

An open-source desktop clip editor built on LosslessCut. Trim a recording, change a part’s speed or crop it, add text or fix the audio, and export a clip that fits under a file size limit.

Encoders rarely land on a target size, so I added an export that measures how far each attempt overshot and sets the next bitrate from it. Clips that can’t fit cleanly step down in resolution or frame rate instead of turning blocky. I also built the website and ship the Windows builds.

FitForecast

Installable web app

A weather-aware stylist. Tell it what you own, and it picks one complete outfit for the day with a reason for every piece.

A deterministic scoring engine ranks every candidate outfit, so the explanation always matches the score. Your closet stays on your device, and the app installs and works offline.

Kotodama

Early prototype

A story game where you say what you actually mean, instead of picking a line from a dialogue tree.

The engine owns what happens, and the language model only owns how characters say it. Every turn is validated before it can change game state, and the whole pipeline runs in tests against a scripted model with no network.

  1. CUNY Tech Prep

    Aug 2026 – Present

    Data Science Fellow

A competitive fellowship with students from across CUNY’s 11 senior colleges. We build end-to-end data science and AI projects in Python, SQL, pandas, scikit-learn, and Hugging Face, with weekly classes on analysis, feature engineering, and generative AI.

  2. Google

    Feb – May 2024

    GSWEP Software Engineering Fellow

Selected from over 600 applicants for one-on-one mentorship with a Google software engineer on code review, version control, and scoping vague requirements into reviewable changes.
